When your 12V electronics cut out from voltage spikes or drops, this DC to DC converter delivers a regulated 12.2V nominal output. Its isolated design keeps power cleaner, so sensitive loads stay on instead of glitching or shutting down.
Running electronics off an unstable DC source can cause shutdowns, glitches, or inconsistent performance when voltage spikes or drops. This unit regulates output to a nominal 12.2V, keeping power steady even when input fluctuates between 8V and 17V. Devices stay powered consistently instead of cutting out or behaving erratically.
Using a charger or converter in the wrong role can lead to improper voltage behavior or battery issues. This unit provides adjustable output from 10V to 15V specifically for DC loads and is not intended for battery charging. You get controlled, predictable power delivery without the complications of charge management.
Shared grounds in mixed systems can introduce noise or unstable operation across connected components. The isolated design separates input and output grounds so each side operates independently. Power delivery remains stable in setups where non-isolated systems can create interference or faults.
Switching DC systems on and off often requires routing high-current wiring through a manual switch. The remote on and off terminal uses a low power signal or engine run input to control operation. You can tie system control into ignition or a simple switch without adding heavy wiring.
A single 9 amp output works for light loads, but additional devices can quickly exceed that limit. This unit supports parallel operation with short circuit protection, allowing multiple units to be connected to increase total output current. You can scale the system instead of replacing it as demand grows.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Victron, Orion Tr DC to DC isolated RV converter. Now this is going to take power from a 12 volt DC source, like a vehicle or a boat battery, and this is going to give you stable, regulated 12 volt output to safely power other electronics or charge an auxiliary battery. Now what makes this one stand out is that it's isolated. That's what the Tr means here, and that means that the input and the output circuits are electrically separated. That's gonna help prevent electrical noise, ground loops, and damage from voltage spikes, especially useful in vehicles, RVs, boats, and off-grid systems where power can be messy.
So this can supply up to nine amps continuously, which equals about 110 watts, making it ideal for smaller loads or maintaining secondary batteries. This also includes a remote on off terminal, so you're gonna be able to control it with a a low power switch instead of running a heavy current switch. And Victron has built in solid protections as well, such as short circuit protection, adjustable output voltage in many setups, and an IP 43 rating when installed correctly. So this is gonna hold up well in real world environments. Let me find my ruler here, give you some measurements.
So looking at the width, we are sitting right at about four and 1/2 inches. The height four inches, and then the depth right at about one and 7/8 inches. So if you're looking for a clean, reliable, 12 volt power from an existing 12 volt system, and you're looking for extra safety and flexibility of isolation, this is a high quality, dependable option from a brand that is well respected in mobile and off grid power setups. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need.
Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
